The grain elevator in Comfort, Texas is a remarkable piece of industrial architecture, with sculptural elements that are simply breathtaking. Catching sight of it as I was driving home from San Antonio to Kerrville in the evening, I was struck by the cool light that was falling on the structure. Without hesitation, I pulled into the parking lot, set up my camera on my tripod, and waited patiently for the last few cars to move along before capturing the scene. The result was a stunning image that captured the essence of this incredible structure.
