I usually prefer working in black and white, but sometimes an image requires an expanded palate. While I was wandering through the White Sands desert in New Mexico, a group of clouds caught my attention. Luckily, I was close to a nearby tree that made for a great foreground. I hurriedly made my way across the dunes to set up my capture and managed to take this photo just before the light faded. A lot of times in photography, chance plays a role in capturing the perfect shot.
